JSU Facilitator
Do you like reading books? Enjoy having stimulating conversations? Have a knack for organizing and running small groups?
If yes on all of the above, you may be a natural fit for a JSU facilitator. The role offers an opportunity to start a unique learning community over Zoom. A typical JSU session lasts about an hour, occurs once a week at a set time (for example, Thursday 11 AM EST), and can be managed from the comfort of your home. Becoming a JSU facilitator entails taking the following five steps:
1. Participate consistently in one of our active JSUs. You can browse all available JSUs (Browse JSU) and sign up for an open JSU book club.
2. If inspired by the JSU learning community and want to start your own JSU group, submit a maximum 500-word response via Contact Us.
3. The response should contain examples of your facilitation skills, the type of JSU group you want to start, its target audience, and the type of books you want to read together. You can browse the sample courses at JSU University for ideas and inspiration.
4. If selected, you will be contacted for interviews and invited to an online training session.
